March Campaign Trail, Russia/Ukraine, and Soaring Gas Prices

Updated: Mar 17

This week we had rallies in Montgomery County and Roanoke County, Virginia! Loved meeting constituents and listening to what is important to them!

I also had a briefing on Ukraine and Russia from Michelle Bekkering (Michelle has quite a resume having served under the National Security Council under President George W. Bush and served at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and was with the International Republican Institutute for years), Representative Peter Roskam (R-IL),

and Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) through the US Global Leadership Coalition.

I further had fantastic meetings with the Heritage foundation this week! I met with experts on immigration, the southern border, an economist in which we discussed inflation and the housing crisis, and experts on China, Ukraine, and Russia. My goal is to be on the Foreign Affairs Committee so for over a year I've been obtaining incredible policy experts!

In short, conflict with Russia goes all the way back to the Ottoman Empire. There was no aggression from Putin under the Trump Administration. Putin's behavior is a result of America having lost it's energy independence which then in turn allowed Russia to make more money from energy to fund their aggression. combined with having weak American leadership. The Biden Administration's disaster in Afghanistan helped initiate this aggression. The general opinion of most advisors is that America would most likely not be sending ground troops to the area but has been sending weapons for Ukraine.

The mainstream news is trying to push a fake news story that soaring gas prices is due to Putin, while in fact it's due to the fact that we lost our energy independence. Every policy under the Biden administration has made sure we've lowered our supply from freezes on federal land drilling to shutting down the Keystone pipeline, and the current administration has done everything possible to make it appear as if fossil fuels are not affordable.

Over the last week I created my own website as well! I'm so excited about this because I can manage and update posts continually! Check it out!

Expect to see me at your door step! I'm out and about pounding on doors! Let me know if you want to join me!
